GREEN ISLAND RICE, MAURITIUS
Green Island Rice is the producer of Mighty Rice®, a speciality rice and health food. The Company’s purpose is to develop, produce, process and distribute premium, arsenic-free, low glycemic index (“GI”), non-genetically modified organism (“non-GMO”), water-efficient, non flood-irrigated, speciality rice. Mighty Rice constitutes a significant breakthrough in the functional health food market by providing a healthy alternative to existing sources of the world’s most widely consumed and important staple food – rice.
NUAFRICA GAS, MOZAMBIQUE
NuAfrica Gas’ mission is to develop Coal Bed Methane (CBM) resources in Mozambique to support domestic growth. In the Tete province there are extensive shallow coal deposits with favourable characteristics and substantial known CBM presence. A target generation study was completed in Q1 2014, identifying a potential resource of up to 40 Tcf over the area over which 7 Tcf is thought to be recoverable. This region has been described as the equivalent of the Bowen Basin in Australia.
TANCOAL, TANZANIA (INTRA ENERGY CORPORATION, AUSTRALIA)
Intra Energy Corporation Limited (IEC) is an Australian-based mining and energy company with coal mining and energy development operations in Tanzania and the East African region. IEC’s strategy is “African coal to power African growth”. IEC is the only operating thermal coal miner in Eastern Africa. It’s flagship project in Tanzania is the Tancoal mine in the Ngaka Coalfield in Tanzania, operated by Tancoal Energy Limited, a Joint Venture with the National Development Corporation of Tanzania.
Tancoal has proven coal resources in excess of 200 million tonnes, and believes the Ngaka Basin, including the Mbalawala and Mbuyura/ Mkapa sub-basins, has the potential to host up to 1 Billion tonnes of high quality thermal coal.
